From London Stansted via Ryanair to Tours, or from Paris via fast speed TGV train (55 Minutes), be picked up at the airport or station and given the keys to your authentic, totally renovated 1940s mythical Citroen.
Upon your arrival at Chateau de La Barre, 65 km later, a warm welcome with chilled champagne awaits you in an elegant home full of antiques, portraits and a rich past, which Guy and Marnie look forward to sharing with you. All the rooms are decorated with exceptional period furniture, designer fabrics and overlook the gardens and 100 acre park.
Then spend two or three days with the "French Touch", discovering the picturesque scenery, gardens, romanesque churches and renaissance manor houses at the steering wheel of a unique classic car.

As the guest of the Comte and Comtesse de Vanssay in their elegant home near the Loire Valley, improve your French after breakfast with 2 hours tailor made private lessons on 5 out of 6 mornings, during which a French litterary masterpiece will be studied along with grammar and vocabulary points you wish to tackle. After lunch, during the afternoon, relax whilest continuing to learn during private guided visits of the Loire Valley chateaux, local XIIth century churches, manor houses, the Old city of Le Mans, as well as some wine tasting. Return for drinks by the fireside of the salon rose and candlelit dinners in the XVIIIth century grande salle à manger. (French spoken during all meals too, enabling you to converse about current events, history, French culture and other subjects of your interest).
