Set amongst a canopy of indigenous acacia and lantern bush trees, the reception, central library, shop and dining area of the lodge are airy and simply elegant with traditional South African thatched roofs. Access to the eight luxury suites is made possible thanks to a narrow winding walkway that links the rooms to one another. The luxurious rooms are furnished with rich antiques and Persian carpets combining elegance with style.

Each of the eight freestanding and private suites blends perfectly with its magnificent surroundings thanks to a rich deck wood terrace, thatched gazebo and spillway pool. The suites at this safari hotel are made up of a bedroom/sitting room with fireplace; antique furniture and canopied king size bed as well as an extravagant bathroom. Listen to the roar of the lions as you soak in a relaxing bath. The Royal & Malewane Suites are the pinnacle of refinement and opulence and also the largest in Africa at 210 sqm. Acommodating up to four guests each, these suites have a butler, private chef and up to four complimentary massages per suite per day.

At this 5 star luxury hotel there is a new gym and spa area that offers health and skincare therapy by internationally qualified in-house therapists. On safari
At Royal Malewane, you will have the opportunity of going on an exciting wildlife game drive that will take you around the 13 000 ha reserve, home of the “Big Five” – lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino. Led by expert and experienced rangers and trackers you will enjoy an early morning game drive followed by a leisurely breakfast. Afterwards, guests can enjoy the comfort of the lodge before lunch is served.
